At MBE we offer the' Easy TCA' peel which can be used for superficial or medium depth peeling. The TCA or ‘trichloroacetic acid’ is added to a base of AHA’s, vitamins and powerful anti oxidants and applied to the skin to the desired level once a week for 4 weeks. This counts as one treatment. 

The peel solution is applied to the area for a few minutes.  During this time you will feel the area warming up, this shows that the peel is working.  A  soothing post peel cream is then massaged into the area and is left on the skin until the next morning.  You can then continue with your normal routine.

What Happens After The Treatment?

Between applications there will be some light to moderate peeling of the skin which can be similar to that of a mild sunburn. Skin care products which are included in the price of the treatment, are used daily at home to enhance the effects of the peel. After the fourth application, the skin is left to rejuvenate over the following 6 weeks.It is important to use a sunblock during this time.

What Results Can I expect?

The results of a TCA peel are similar to that of a Glycolic peel only more dramatic leaving the skin looking healthy, gleaming and fresh. They can be used on all skin types for treating acne, sun damage, uneven pigmentation, age spots or for general improvement in appearance. They can be used on the face, neck, chest, arms and backs of the hands.  Some conditions may require more than one peel to yield optimum results.

TCA can only be administered by a trained medical professional due to the depth of penetration. No anaesthetic is required. Each peel will only take about 20 minutes.
